There are currently two ingame targeting systems for the 2d client.
The older targeting system will be refered to as the 2d targeting system. The fairly
new targeting system which was added by the request of many users for an updated
targeting system will be refered to as the New Targeting System.
There are three macros that will serve a purpose for the targeting system. They are TargetNext, LastTarget and AttackLast.
Here we will add information about the new targeting system. The macros it uses along with its distance limitations
Creating Macros for the 2d targeting system
There are three macros that will serve a purpose for the targeting system. They are TargetNext, LastTarget and AttackLast.
TargetNext Macro
The Target Next macro will select the next "Mobile" within the range of the targeting system. A "Mobile" is a player, npc, monster or any type of "sprite" or object that moves. Using the macro repeatedly will cycle through Mobiles that are within the range of the targeting system.

LastTarget Macro
The last target macro will replace the need for you to click your target. The Targeting Reticule
is a
fancy name for the mouse cursor when the client is waiting for a target.
When the targeting reticule appears you can use the last target macro to "click" on the current target. (See below to determine your current target with the TargetNext macro or using a target based item)

AttackLast Macro
AttackLast target is my favorite macro for "Pulling". Pulling is a tactic you can use to drag a monster from one area to another. The idea of the AttackLast macro is to have a simple solution to Attack without having to double click on the target or the health bar of the target you want to engage.
When you attack a monsters they automatically start to follow you. Monsters will attack and chase anyone they see as a hostile. Now that the monster is chasing you, you are now able to "Pull" the monster to another area where you can control the spawn.
